The responsible party for the processing of personal data is the natural or legal person who, alone or jointly with others, determines the purposes and means of processing personal data.

2) Data Collection When Visiting Our Website

2.1 When you visit our website purely for informational purposes, meaning you do not register or otherwise provide information to us, we only collect data that your browser transmits to the server (so-called “server log files”). When you access our website, we collect the following data, which is technically necessary for us to display the website:

  • The website you visited
  • Date and time of access
  • Amount of data sent in bytes
  • Source/reference from which you accessed the site
  • Browser used
  • Operating system used
  • IP address used (if applicable: in anonymized form)

Processing is carried out in accordance with Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR based on our legitimate interest in improving the stability and functionality of our website. This data will not be shared or used in any other way. However, we reserve the right to retrospectively review the server log files if there are concrete indications of unlawful use.

2.2 This website uses SSL or TLS encryption for security reasons and to protect the transmission of personal data and other confidential content (e.g., orders or inquiries to the responsible party). You can recognize an encrypted connection by the string “https://” and the lock symbol in your browser’s address bar.

3) Hosting & Content Delivery Network

For hosting our website and displaying its content, we use a provider that delivers its services exclusively on servers located within the European Union, either directly or through selected subcontractors.
All data collected on our website is processed on these servers.
We have entered into a data processing agreement with the provider to ensure the protection of the data of our website visitors and to prevent unauthorized disclosure to third parties.

4) Cookies

To make your visit to our website more attractive and to enable the use of certain functions, we use cookies, which are small text files stored on your device. Some of these cookies are automatically deleted after you close your browser (so-called “session cookies”), while others remain on your device for a longer period and allow the storage of site settings (so-called “persistent cookies”). In the latter case, you can find the storage duration in the cookie settings section of your web browser.

If personal data is processed by individual cookies we use, this processing is carried out either in accordance with Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR for contract execution, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR if consent has been given, or Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR to safeguard our legitimate interests in the optimal functionality of the website and a user-friendly and effective website visit.

You can configure your browser to notify you about the setting of cookies, decide individually about their acceptance, or exclude the acceptance of cookies for certain cases or in general.
Please note that if you do not accept cookies, the functionality of our website may be limited.

5) Contact

When contacting us (e.g., via contact form or email), personal data is collected. The specific data collected when using a contact form is evident from the respective contact form. This data is stored and used exclusively for the purpose of responding to your inquiry or for contacting you and the associated technical administration.

The legal basis for processing this data is our legitimate interest in responding to your inquiry in accordance with Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. If your contact aims at the conclusion of a contract, the additional legal basis for processing is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR. Your data will be deleted after the final processing of your request. This occurs if it can be inferred from the circumstances that the matter in question has been conclusively resolved and provided that no statutory retention obligations conflict with this.

6) Use of Customer Data for Direct Advertising

Sending the Email Newsletter to Existing Customers

If you have provided us with your email address when purchasing goods or services, we reserve the right to send you regular offers for similar goods or services from our range by email. In this case, we do not need to obtain separate consent from you in accordance with Section 7(3) UWG (German Act Against Unfair Competition). Data processing is carried out solely based on our legitimate interest in personalized direct advertising in accordance with Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. If you initially objected to the use of your email address for this purpose, no emails will be sent by us.

You are entitled to object to the use of your email address for the aforementioned advertising purpose at any time with effect for the future by notifying the responsible party mentioned at the beginning. You will only incur transmission costs according to the basic rates. Upon receipt of your objection, the use of your email address for advertising purposes will cease immediately.

7) Website Features

7.1 Google Maps
This website uses the online map service provided by the following provider:
Google Maps (API) by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, 4 Barrow St, Dublin, D04 E5W5, Ireland (“Google”).

Google Maps is a web service for displaying interactive (land) maps to visually represent geographical information. By using this service, our location is displayed, and potential directions to reach us are simplified.

When you access the subpages containing Google Maps, information about your use of our website (e.g., your IP address) is transmitted to Google’s servers and stored there. This may involve transmission to Google LLC servers in the USA. This occurs regardless of whether Google provides a user account through which you are logged in or if no user account exists. If you are logged in to Google, your data is directly assigned to your account. If you do not wish for your data to be associated with your Google profile, you must log out before activating the button. Google stores your data (even for non-logged-in users) as usage profiles and analyzes them.

Collection, storage, and analysis are carried out in accordance with Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR based on Google’s legitimate interest in displaying personalized advertising, conducting market research, and/or designing Google websites to meet user needs. You have the right to object to the creation of these user profiles, and to exercise this right, you must contact Google directly.

If you do not agree with the future transmission of your data to Google when using Google Maps, you have the option to disable the Google Maps web service entirely by turning off JavaScript in your browser. In this case, Google Maps and the map display on this website will not function.

Where legally required, we have obtained your consent for the above-described data processing in accordance with Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. You can revoke your consent at any time with effect for the future. To exercise your revocation, please follow the aforementioned procedure for objection.

For data transfers to the USA, the provider has joined the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, which ensures compliance with European data protection standards based on a European Commission adequacy decision.

Further information about Google’s privacy policies can be found here: https://business.safety.google/intl/de/privacy/

7.2 Google Web Fonts
This site uses so-called web fonts from the following provider for the uniform display of fonts:
Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, 4 Barrow St, Dublin, D04 E5W5, Ireland

When you access a page, your browser loads the required web fonts into its cache to display texts and fonts correctly and establishes a direct connection to the provider’s servers. In the process, certain browser information, including your IP address, is transmitted to the provider.

Data may also be transmitted to: Google LLC, USA

The processing of personal data during the connection with the font provider only occurs if you have expressly consented to it under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. You can revoke your consent at any time with effect for the future by deactivating this service using the “cookie consent tool” provided on the website. If your browser does not support web fonts, a standard font from your computer will be used.

For data transfers to the USA, the provider has joined the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, which ensures compliance with European data protection standards based on a European Commission adequacy decision.

Further information about Google’s privacy policies can be found here: https://business.safety.google/intl/de/privacy/

8) Tools and Miscellaneous

Cookie Consent Tool
This website uses a “Cookie Consent Tool” to obtain effective user consent for cookies and cookie-based applications that require consent. The “Cookie Consent Tool” is displayed to users when they access the website as an interactive user interface, where consents for specific cookies and/or cookie-based applications can be granted by ticking checkboxes. Using this tool ensures that all cookies/services requiring consent are only loaded if the respective user grants consent by selecting the checkboxes. This ensures that such cookies are set on the user’s device only in cases where consent has been given.

The tool sets technically necessary cookies to save your cookie preferences. Personal user data is generally not processed in this context.

If, in individual cases, the storage, assignment, or logging of cookie settings involves the processing of personal data (such as the IP address), this is carried out in accordance with Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, based on our legitimate interest in a legally compliant, user-specific, and user-friendly consent management for cookies and thereby in the legally compliant design of our online presence.

Another legal basis for processing is Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR, as we are legally obliged as the responsible party to make the use of non-essential cookies subject to the respective user’s consent.

If necessary, we have entered into a data processing agreement with the provider to ensure the protection of the data of our website visitors and to prohibit unauthorized disclosure to third parties.

Further information about the operator and settings of the Cookie Consent Tool can be found directly in the corresponding user interface on our website.

9) Data Subject Rights

9.1 Applicable data protection law grants you the following data subject rights with respect to the processing of your personal data by the responsible party (rights of access and intervention), with references to the respective legal basis for their exercise:

  • Right of access under Art. 15 GDPR;
  • Right to rectification under Art. 16 GDPR;
  • Right to erasure under Art. 17 GDPR;
  • Right to restriction of processing under Art. 18 GDPR;
  • Right to notification under Art. 19 GDPR;
  • Right to data portability under Art. 20 GDPR;
  • Right to revoke consent under Art. 7(3) GDPR;
  • Right to lodge a complaint under Art. 77 GDPR.

9.2 Right to Object
IF WE PROCESS YOUR PERSONAL DATA ON THE BASIS OF OUR OVERRIDING LEGITIMATE INTEREST FOLLOWING A BALANCING OF INTERESTS, YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO OBJECT TO THIS PROCESSING AT ANY TIME FOR REASONS ARISING FROM YOUR PARTICULAR SITUATION, WITH EFFECT FOR THE FUTURE.

IF YOU EXERCISE YOUR RIGHT TO OBJECT, WE WILL CEASE PROCESSING THE AFFECTED DATA. HOWEVER, FURTHER PROCESSING IS RESERVED IF WE CAN DEMONSTRATE COMPELLING LEGITIMATE GROUNDS FOR THE PROCESSING THAT OVERRIDE YOUR INTERESTS, FUNDAMENTAL RIGHTS, AND FREEDOMS, OR IF THE PROCESSING SERVES TO ASSERT, EXERCISE, OR DEFEND LEGAL CLAIMS.

IF YOUR PERSONAL DATA IS PROCESSED BY US FOR DIRECT ADVERTISING PURPOSES, YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO OBJECT TO THE PROCESSING OF YOUR PERSONAL DATA FOR SUCH ADVERTISING PURPOSES AT ANY TIME. YOU CAN EXERCISE THIS RIGHT AS DESCRIBED ABOVE.

IF YOU EXERCISE YOUR RIGHT TO OBJECT, WE WILL IMMEDIATELY STOP PROCESSING THE AFFECTED DATA FOR DIRECT ADVERTISING PURPOSES.

10) Duration of Storage of Personal Data

The duration of the storage of personal data is determined based on the respective legal basis, the processing purpose, and—if applicable—any statutory retention periods (e.g., commercial and tax law retention periods).

When processing personal data based on explicit consent pursuant to Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, the data in question will be stored until you withdraw your consent.

If statutory retention periods apply to data processed within the framework of legal or quasi-legal obligations based on Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR, such data will be routinely deleted upon expiration of the retention periods, provided that the data is no longer required for contract fulfillment or initiation and/or there is no legitimate interest on our part in continuing storage.

When processing personal data based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, such data will be stored until you exercise your right to object under Art. 21(1) GDPR, unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for the processing that outweigh your interests, rights, and freedoms, or the processing serves to assert, exercise, or defend legal claims.

When processing personal data for the purposes of direct advertising based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, such data will be stored until you exercise your right to object under Art. 21(2) GDPR.

Unless otherwise stated in the specific processing situations described in this declaration, stored personal data will be deleted when it is no longer necessary for the purposes for which it was collected or otherwise processed.
